New Yorkers Honored for Spreading the News
Critical Mention was thrilled to be a Platinum sponsor of PRSA-NY’s 2017 Big Apple Awards Gala. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the awards, which are widely regarded as one of the industry’s most prestigious accolades.
Nearly 200 professionals honored their own for individual achievement in communications, marketing and public relations. Steve Shannon, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Critical Mention, was on hand to present the Big Apple Spotlight Award for Media Relations.
Fifty-six finalists were recognized for their award-winning research, strategies, tactics and results in 44 categories. The work spanned numerous industries, institutions, government agencies and non-profit organizations with many campaigns taking home multiple awards.
All of the winners produced exceptional work in 2016, but Padilla and Niagara Conservation were named the Best of the Best and received two crystal Big Apples for their campaign titled #What the Flush: Disrupting the Water Conservation Conversation.
Critical Mention congratulates all of the nominees and winners. We’re proud to be an integral part of an industry where passion and excellence not only rule the day, but are recognized and appreciated. We’re already looking forward to next year’s gala!
