NEW YORK — Critical Mention, the leading earned media platform, today announced the addition of Podcast Monitoring to its Earned Media Suite. The new feature will allow customers to monitor brand mentions on thousands of the most popular podcasts. Adding podcasts also expands Critical Mention’s industry-leading content, which already includes global TV, Radio, Online News, Licensed Content and Social Media Monitoring.
“Adding Podcast Monitoring to the Critical Mention Earned Media Suite is another important milestone in what has been the most successful year in Critical Mention’s history in terms of adding features and content to the platform,” said President and CEO Don Yount.
“As always, we want our product road map to reflect our customers’ wishes. Podcasts have become an increasingly important part of the media’s overall composition in recent years and, as a result, they have become important to our customers as well,” explained Senior Vice President of Sales and Accounting Management Zack Jenkins. “Podcast Monitoring is the next step in expanding our Earned Media Suite and meeting our customers’ needs.”
With the new Podcast Monitoring feature, Critical Mention customers will be able to seamlessly edit clips in the platform’s proprietary Wordplay tool, as well as receive notifications about podcast mentions within minutes of publication. Additionally, one of the release’s most important differentiating features will be its world-class speech-to-text technology, which will make searching keywords simple and accurate for users.
“I am incredibly proud of our engineering, DevOps and product teams for the job they have done bringing Podcast Monitoring to market in what has already been a banner year for new releases,” said Vishal Padhye, Chief Technology Officer at Critical Mention. “I am excited that we are able to bring our customers another important piece of the earned media equation.”
The release of Podcast Monitoring is the latest in a series of significant product and feature releases by Critical Mention in 2020. To date, in 2020 alone, the company has added a Media Contact Database, extensive archive search capabilities and YouTube to the platform’s social media content set and several other features.
